Job description

The Frontend Application Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality user interfaces that span web and desktop environments. This role involves deep experience with React and Next.js, the ability to architect responsive component systems, and integration with backend APIs supporting our memory and agent engine. The developer will contribute to performance optimization, design system implementation, and a seamless cross-platform UX. You will not be working on AI model development, but rather building the user interface layer that connects users to intelligent systems.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate to gather and review UI/UX requirements, estimate scope, and create frontend design specifications.

  • Build interfaces in React and Next.js that integrate with APIs for memory storage, agent history, and user feedback systems.

  • Extend the web app experience to desktop using Electron or equivalent cross-platform tools.

  • Ensure frontend code meets high standards for performance, security, and scalability.

  • Execute feature development using version control and code review best practices.

  • Participate in UI testing, browser compatibility QA, and performance profiling.

  • Solve configuration and deployment issues in the frontend stack.

  • Contribute to frontend CI/CD workflows and support the release process.

Qualifications:

Senior-level frontend engineer with at least 3 years of experience in:

  • React and Next.js

  • Responsive, component-based UI development

  • REST or GraphQL API integration

  • Client-side performance and state management

  • Bonus: Electron, Tailwind, TypeScript, or PWA experience

Education:

Preferred Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Scienceor Math; Developer nanodegree; or equivalent experience.
